The Law Firm Alumni Challenge encourages participants to support the College of Law and to become a part of the tradition of giving back to the College in order to help future generations of students.  This is done in a competitive environment with each law firm participating in the Challenge striving to achieve a 100% alumni participation rate.  We owe a great deal of thanks to our alumni volunteers at each firm who have made this competition a success.

The Law Firm Alumni Challenge began in 2005-2006 with 8 firms participating in the competition.  Through this competition we were able to raise close to $20,000 for various programs at the College of Law.  This year we had 12 firms that as a part of the Challenge and increased our numbers from last year.  Take a look at our statistics:

2005-2006     8 firms, 88 of 152 alumni, 58% participation, close to $20,000 raised, winning firm: Snell & Wilmer LLP

2006-2007     12 firms, 122 of 193 alumni, 63% participation, close to $40,000 raised, winning firms: Mohr, Hackett, Pederson, Blakley & Randolph PC and Snell & Wilmer LLP

2006-2007 has been a crucial year for the Challenge.  We have expanded the scope of the Challenge and improved connections to law firms.   We look forward to building on the momentum and excitement that this competition has generated in the coming year.
