Event: 1Ls: Drafting Legal Resumes & Cover Letters - 2 Dates!

Introduction to drafting resumes and cover letters that legal employers want to see.  This program provides the building blocks of the 1L job search.  The Career Office guides you step by step through each document so that you will be prepared to hit the ground running for winter/spring interviewing.  If you have a conflict with the date for your small section, please join the other small section group.  Remember-

• You must submit a cover letter and resume by Tues., Nov. 13 in order to participate in Mock Interviews with a law firm on Fri., Nov.16.


• You must also bring your revised resume and cover letter to your initial counseling session.

Title: Time Pressure and Decision Making

The “Master Seminar” has been held successfully in the past 12 years. It is administratively a graduate course, with registered students, for the Fall 2012, from Cognitive Science, Management and Organizations, Law, Marketing, Linguistics, Psychology and Philosophy.  The Master Seminar welcomes auditors, including intermittent ones.  Each session will focus on foundational issues, aiming at a highly educated, but largely interdisciplinary, audience.  The speakers are expressly invited to introduce their fields quite broadly, in the first and longest part of their talk, and then present state-of-the-art research, in an accessible form, without sacrifice of rigor.  A lively discussion usually follows these presentations.
