12:15 PM - 1:15 PM On November 8 at 12:15 PM in Room 168, Terry Anderson, from the Property and Environment Resource Center, is coming to talk about Environmental Markets. Mr. Anderson is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institute. In addition, he has written numerous books about free market environmentalism and how markets can be harnessed to allocate scarce resources. 4:00 PM - 6:50 PM Speaker: Hal Arkes (Dept. of Psychology, Ohio State University) Title: Coherence and Correspondence Criteria in Judgment/Decision Making The “Master Seminar” has been held successfully in the past 12 years. It is administratively a graduate course, with registered students, for the Fall 2012, from Cognitive Science, Management and Organizations, Law, Marketing, Linguistics, Psychology and Philosophy. The Master Seminar welcomes auditors, including intermittent ones. Each session will focus on foundational issues, aiming at a highly educated, but largely interdisciplinary, audience. The speakers are expressly invited to introduce their fields quite broadly, in the first and longest part of their talk, and then present state-of-the-art research, in an accessible form, without sacrifice of rigor. A lively discussion usually follows these presentations.
