The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is the preeminent organization in the United States advancing the mission of the nation's criminal defense lawyers to ensure justice and due process for persons accused of crime or other misconduct. A professional bar association founded in 1958, NACDL's more than 12,800 direct members -- and 94 state, local, and international affiliate organizations with another 35,000 members -- include private criminal defense lawyers, public defenders, active U.S. military defense counsel, law professors and judges committed to preserving fairness within America's criminal justice system. NACDL Members receive The Champion monthly, a legal journal full of cutting edge strategies and case winning tips, whose articles are written by and for criminal defense attorneys. Online member-only benefits include one general and a number of specialized listservs and access to a Briefs and Motions Bank. Networking with other criminal defense attorneys is made easy through both through attendance at our outstanding seminars, held eight times a year, and through participation on NACDL’s standing committees. Members also have access to the Member Handbook, for use in local networking and in finding attorneys in other states to handle out-of-state matters. Finally, NACDL has negotiated with numerous legal services providers so that our members can get the lowest rates on products. Becoming an NACDL member gives you the support you need to fight the good fight and win more cases. For more information, visit NACDL’s website, www.nacdl.org, and follow NACDL on Facebook and Twitter.
