The University of Arizona Rogers College of Law has Federal Work Study money to fund 1st & 2nd year law students in your office this summer.
Local, state, tribal and federal government agencies, and 501-C3 non-profit organizations may be eligible to participate. Click here to view eligibility information. Non-profit organizations must submit IRS documentation to the College of Law, verifying their tax-exempt status. |
Per contractual agreement, the student will be considered your employee. Employee-related expenses, such as worker’s compensation, social security, holiday pay, etc., are not reimbursable. |
The number of hours per week a student may work depends on your needs, student schedules and total number of hours each student is authorized to work (based on a calculation of the student's financial need). |
You will pay the student’s wages up front. Upon receipt of monthly time records and invoices, we will reimburse a portion of the hourly wage up to a preauthorized amount. Reimbursement occurs monthly, as you submit your time records and invoices. |
If you are interested in participating and do not already have a contract on file, print and execute a copy of the University of Arizona's standard work study contract and mail the original to Paula Nailon at the address below. Click here to view a copy of the contract. |
You will be contacted concerning your final approval and number of work study positions which are allotted to your agency. Work study funding is not guaranteed. |
