Course Description

This course examines the issues, principles and skills necessary to the use of mediation as a method of conflict resolution. The required reading is distributed throughout the course as applicable to subject matter. Classroom time is devoted to discussion of these materials, lecture and experiential learning. Students have the opportunity to observe on and mediate one fair housing, employment discrimination, landlord/tenant, consumer fraud, juvenile court dependency, or juvenile criminal misdemeanor dispute.
