Course Description

This course covers a host of basic problems that arise out of insurance transactions that confront lawyers and judges on a regular basis. It explores issues involving the types of insurance business and other institutions purchase, as well as many of the so-called personal lines such as auto, homeowners, personal property, life, and health coverages. Students receive a solid grounding that not only will help students in representing their clients, be they insureds or insurers, but that will also carry over to students' personal situation. Regardless of the area of practice that students plan to enter, the course covers materials that students will find to be current and relevant to the practice of law.
