(Mr.) Samuel Barbosa graduated from the Universidade Catolica de Santos and began work for Lawand & Soares Attorneys, developing petitions and appeals. He hopes to become a law professor after work in private practice as a consultant to foreign companies in Brazil.
(Mr.) Efthimios Katsarelis is from Athens, Greece graduating from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School. He worked as an attorney in Athens and is interested in research with strong interests in international commercial law, and the U.S. legal system. His long-term goal is to establish his own law firm.
(Ms.) Yi-Yun (Diana) Liang is a Taiwanese national from Keelung, graduating from Fu-Jen Catholic University (Taipei). Ms. Liang has explored the rules and policies involving e-commerce and Trademark interests, and developed an increased interest in environmental issues associated with the fishing industry.
(Mr.) Abdullah Mattar is a Saudi national who took his LL.B. from the University of Cairo. He entered a law practice for several years in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Mattar is one of a group of young lawyers who are being sent to the United States and elsewhere for LLM degrees as a result of Saudi Arabia’s accession to the WTO in December 2005.

(Mr.) Omar Morales is from Guatemala City and graduated from the Mariano Galvez University. He is currently a Law School Professor and Dean’s Assistant for Student Affairs. Mr. Morales wishes to continue his career path in teaching, continuing on to PhD-level scholarship, and to finally achieve Deanship.
(Mr.) John Francis Munger graduated from the UA College of Law and earned a Poly Sci B.A. from Stanford University with an emphasis in International Relations. He has practiced for 33 years as Senior Partner with Munger and Chadwick in real estate and corporate & commercial law. Mr. Munger was a member of the Arizona Board of Regents from 1992 until 2000, serving as President in 1996. He hopes to gain a better understanding of the banking and financial systems in foreign jurisdictions, and the procedures and mechanisms for enforcing clients’ rights.
(Ms.) Ximena Pardo is from Argentina, graduating from Buenos Aires University. She was invited to join the staff “ad honorem” in the Professional Practice Cathedra and continued to teach through 2003. Ms. Pardo went into private practice until her husband’s work brought them to Cleveland Ohio in September of 2004. She is interested in researching international trade issues.
(Mr.) Joaquin Picado is a senior partner in a Costa Rican law firm and has received a masters degree in Commercial Law. He is a member of the Costa Rican Arbitration Courts, enjoys teaching (since 1995), and holds strong interests in CAFTA and global markets.

(Mr.) Manuel Porras graduated from the University of Costa Rica and joined the Law firm, Bufete Gomez & Galindo, in 2003 and achieved Partner in 2005.  He earned a Specialty in Notarial and Registry’s Law and is now interested in exploring more effective integration methods for the Costa Rican commercial legal system, and wishes to contribute to his country’s development in international commerce.

(Mr.) Songyot (Joe) Sirikiatikul is from Muaeng Thailand and holds a B.B.A. in marketing from Assumption University, an LL.B. from Ramkhamhaeng University, and an LL.M. in International Business Law from Case Western University (2007).  He is a sole practitioner, providing advice on contracts and business deeds and litigates general civil and commercial cases in real estate, torts and family law.  Mr. Sirikiatikul believes Thailand’s economy depends heavily on international trade and anticipates dramatic changes.

(Ms.) Mariya D. Varavva is a Russian national, who graduated from Sankt-Peterburgskij Gosudarstvennyj University. She graduated summa cum laude from ASU (Tempe) in History, with a minor in Political Science. Ms. Varavva joins our program from Littler Mendelson, P.C. where she provided consultation to multi-national corporations on their global migration issues. She is considering work with the U.N., the WTO, or other international organizations.

(Ms.) Elin Hofverberg is from Sweden, currently attending Uppsala University, now visiting the Law College through the UA Exchange program, and is in her final year of law school.  She is interested in international taxation as well as law and economics, and looks forward to gaining alternative perspectives on legal issues and solutions.

(Mr.) Clemens Koschatzky is from Germany, and as a part of his Naval education is visiting through the UA Exchange program.  He is now in his third year of University in Munich, studying a range of subjects and completing his law course requirements in Tucson. 

(Mr.) Francisco Pirez is a Fulbright scholar from Uruguay. He graduated from the University Catolica del Urugay Damaso and entered private practice with Ferrere Attorneys at Law in 2003. He enjoyed teaching Contracts and Obligations at the University of the Public, and is now pursuing his interests in international commercial law to improve the commercial relationships between diverse regions and nations.
