Comparative Law in the Twenty-First Century Speakers

On February 25th, the Law College Association (LCA) held its first Gutter Bowl, a Phoenix-area fundraiser and social event. More than $7,000 was raised through team registration, special bowling challenges, and sponsorships. Gutter Bowl 2005, promoted as "A New Tradition of Athleticism (or its absence) and Skill (or its Substitute)" drew 20 teams of 6 bowlers, local legal celebrities such as the Honorable "MO" Portley, Attorney General Terry Goddard, and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Special thanks to Westlaw and Williams & Associates for their sponsorship in this important first year. Bowlers "spared" no effort in having fun, and made a "striking" impression on their friends and colleagues, as can be seen in these candid shots. Stay tuned for plans on "Gutter Bowl 2006: Back for More Punishment." If you are interested in sponsorship packages or fielding a team, call Nancy Stanley at 520.621.8340.
