Personal Statement

Mr. Hecker is a principal in the firm of Hecker & Muehlebach, PLLC. He received both his Bachelor of Arts degree (1969) and his Juris Doctor (1972) from the University of Arizona. He has served as Chairman and member of the Executive Council of the Securities Regulations Section of the State Bar of Arizona and a member of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona. Mr. Hecker is listed in the 1993 - 2007 editions of Best Lawyers in America in the area of corporate law.

Mr. Hecker's law practice focuses primarily in the areas of corporate and entrepreneurial law and securities regulation, business start-up, private offerings and other transactions involving capital formation, corporations, corporate finance and real estate. He has extensive experience in handling sophisticated transactions involving corporations, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hecker is a frequent panelist at securities regulations, corporate law and capital formation education seminars.

Currently, he is the Chair of the Steering Committee for Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities, Inc. Economic Development Blueprint Project (“TREO”). TREO is the primary economic development organization in the Tucson metropolitan area. He also serves as the chair of TREO’s Capital Formation Task Force which is attempting to accelerate and broaden the flow of venture and other forms of capital to Greater Tucson’s high-tech industries. He was on the Board of the Arizona Department of Transportation from 1979 through 1983, serving as Chairman in his last year, and was Chief of Staff to Governor Bruce Babbitt from 1983 through 1984.
