Personal Statement
Professor Large was in private practice specializing in real estate and land use in Cleveland before joining the faculty of the University of Wisconsin in 1971. He also served as one of the prosecutors in the William Calley-My Lai war crimes trial. Large is the author of numerous publications relating to land use and environmental controls. He was a visiting professor in 1976-77 at Vanderbilt University School of Law, in 1986 at the University of Glasgow Faculty of Law, and in 1995 at the University of Auckland Faculty of Law, New Zealand. Current projects include a casebook on public international law in New Zealand and an article on the return to territorialism in conflicts of law. Large is a member of the Ohio and Delaware state bars.
