Publish in the Arizona Law Review
Thank you for your interest in publishing with the Arizona Law Review! We welcome original works of authorship on law and related topics by lawyers, judges, and professors. At this time, we do not accept book reviews or works authored or co-authored by students. Additionally, we have a strong preference for articles that are under 35,000 words (including footnotes) in length.
Submission Timeline: The Arizona Law Review generally selects articles twice a year: in March and September. Due to the success of our most recent round of article selection, the Arizona Law Review has filled its issues through Summer 2010 and will not select articles during the Fall 2009 selection period. Accordingly, we are not accepting submissions at this time. We sincerely apologize for inconvenience this may cause you, and we hope that you will consider submitting to us again during spring article selection, which will begin on or around March 1, 2010. We plan to open our ExpressO account to submissions approximately two weeks in advance of that date.
Form of Submission: We have a strong preference for electronic submissions via ExpressO, an online law review submission system operated by the Berkeley Electronic Press. To register with ExpressO and submit articles to the Arizona Law Review, please visit http://law.bepress.com/expresso/. If you are unable to submit your manuscript via ExpressO, please send it as an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word format (.doc), along with a resume, to lrsae@law.arizona.edu.
Citation Form: All citations should be in footnote format and conform to THE BLUEBOOK: A UNIFORM SYSTEM OF CITATION (18th ed. 2005).
Expedite Requests: Expedite requests may be submitted via ExpressO (or email, if you are unable to access the ExpressO system). We will make every attempt to review your piece and reach a decision before your expedite deadline, however we do not review expedited manuscripts before article selection begins in March and September. Please note that we require at least 7 days from the time an expedited request is made before we can reach a publication decision.
