University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law Law Library

UA Law Faculty: Article/Book Request

The library will deliver requested books, treatises, or journal articles to faculty offices.

When College of Law faculty have a need for materials that are not owned by the College of Law Library, we will attempt to borrow them from other libraries through the formal channels of interlibrary loan ( ILL). While the Law Library can request the loan of any type of material, treatises are the most easily filled. Journals are generally not retrieved in their entirety but photocopies of individual articles are usually available. Loose-leaf binders, audio/visual and microform materials are often not available through interlibrary loan.

Turnaround time for most interlibrary loan requests is from one to three weeks. Materials will be sent to your mailbox in the Faculty Mailroom when they are received or you will be notified if your request is unfilled.

ILL service at the Law Library is limited to College of Law faculty, students and staff. The Main Library provides excellent interlibrary loan services to University of Arizona faculty, staff and students. Other patrons must use the interlibrary loan service provided by their public library or other library with which they are affiliated.
