Law Library Information: VisitorsAlthough the primary mission of the Daniel F. Cracchiolo Law Library is to support the curricular, scholarship and research needs of the James E. Rogers College of Law's students and faculty, the library also provides access to legal materials to members of the general public. If you are an alumni or member of the local bar, please visit our Attorney Services page for more information. All users are required to abide by the library's policies and may be requested to formally sign in upon arrival. Visit our directions page for information about the library's location. Legal Research GuidesThe librarians at the College of Law have prepared useful legal research guides to assist our visitors with legal research. Before you begin your research, take a look at our Legal Research Guides page as well as our list of Free Electronic Resources. Reference ServicesMembers of the general public are welcome to use the law library and reference services for their legal research needs during regular reference hours. Checkout PrivilegesCheckout privileges are reserved for College of Law students and alumni, University of Arizona faculty, staff, graduate students and registered members of the Arizona Bar. Materials on Reserve may be checked out for two hours (library use only) by all library users. Patrons without College of Law affiliation may be asked to leave either a University ID, bar card, driver's license or other valid form of identification at the Reserve Desk. Computing & TechnologyThe library has a number of public computers for legal research purposes and members of the public are welcome to use the public printers to print their research. The library also has several copying machines located throughout the library. The library also provides free access to Westlaw and Shepard's on dedicated computers for each service next to the Reference Office and on the lower level. |
