Prior to joining the University of Arizona
in 2000, where she focuses on professional development for third year
law students and recent graduates, and has developed an expertise in
government and public interest legal employment, Ms. Nailon served as
Director of Court Services (1997-99), Legal Operations and Caseflow Manager
(1996-97) and Law Clerk to the Presiding Judge (1994-96) at the Pima
County Superior Court.
She is active in several professional associations, including the National Association for Law Placement (Board of Directors 2005-2007, Liaison to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division 2003-present, Public Service Committee Chair 2003-04, Regional Coordinator 2002-03); State Bar of Arizona (Committee on Mentoring 2003-present, Legal Services Committee 2000-present, Task Force on Persons with Disabilities in the Legal Profession 2001-present, Coordinator of High School Mock Trial Regional Competition 1977-2003, Secretary & Executive Council Member - Young Lawyers Division 1995-97, Recipient Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award 1999); Arizona Women Lawyers Association (State Board of Directors 1997-2004, Southern Chapter Steering Committee 1998-2006, Southern Chapter President 1995-96); and the American Bar Association (Member, Section Chairs Outreach to Law Students Committee 2000-present). She is co-author of the "Government Honors & Internship Handbook" and "Excellence in the Workplace: Legal and Life Skills in a Nutshell" (2007, co-authored with Kay Kavanagh).
