Internship with ASUA Legal Services on main campus. The Legal Services Office provides free legal advice to students of the UofA. Most of the legal advisor's time is spent meeting with and advising students. The internship primarily involves sitting in on client interviews. You may also be asked to do legal research from time to time, as needed.
In order to make sure you complete the internship (50 hours) within one semester, you should plan on spending around 4 hours per week sitting in on interviews. The Legal Advisors office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
