This course is about the intersection between law and markets. It provides an introduction to the federal antitrust laws dealing with restraints of trade, monopolization and mergers. We will examine the history of U.S. antitrust laws and their development to understand the modern applications of antitrust laws. We will focus on business choices that lead firms to consider antitrust as a cause of action or create potential antitrust liabilities.
