This is a survey course covering the main areas of intellectual property law: patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. It introduces each subject and explores commonalities and differences among different systems of intellectual property protection.
The course is designed for students interested in business law in general (transactional or litigation) and can serve as a gateway to specialized IP courses for students who wish to specialize in intellectual property.
