Course Description

This class involves a review of biological evidence at every step of the criminal process from crime scene collection to evaluation by fact-finders. The class begins with a discussion of the nature of scientific evidence in general, and DNA evidence in particular. The focus of the class is on how DNA (and other scientific evidence) is gathered, analyzed, interpreted, and presented to juries.
