their families, and other community members. To join the listserve go to
their website at http://www.umassmed.edu/cmhsr/subscribe.cfm
- Child-Case: This group, which is open only to attorneys
and judges, will discuss issues that arise in the litigation of civil and
criminal child abuse and neglect and related cases. It will discuss legal
precedents, tactical concerns, and practical solutions to specific issues
that arise during litigation. The purpose of the group is to help
attorneys and judges explore how to better handle their cases, and not to
discuss general issues of court reform and improvement. Examples of
issues for discussion are evidentiary issues, interpreting and applying
specific state and federal laws, proving or defending specific types of
allegations (e.g., sexual or physical abuse), caselaw, literature that is
useful to attorneys and judges in the field, and upcoming conferences and
meetings. To subscribe go to the American Bar
Association Center on Children and the Law, Center Discussion Groups
webpage and follow their directions.
- Child-Court: This forum will discuss efforts to improve the
court process for child abuse and neglect proceedings and related cases.
It will be available for discussion among those working with the 47 state

review teams and other state/community responses to child deaths. Hosted
by the ABA Center on Children and the Law with the assistance of Dr.
Michael Durfee of Los Angeles, the group will be a resource for team
establishment and training, information on publications and conferences,
and ideas for improving interagency coordination and team relationships.
To subscribe go to the American Bar
Association Center on Children and the Law, Center Discussion Groups
webpage and follow their directions.

those qualities in their lives as lawyers. This is a closed discussion
board and is password-protected; please email: jlutz@law.fsu.edu for
access.
- Holistic and Collaborative Strategies Listserv: The holistic
and collaborative strategies e-mail list is sponsored by the Project for
the Future of Equal Justice in conjunction with the Volunteer Legal
Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco. The purpose of
the e-mail list is to provide a forum for exchanging ideas about holistic
advocacy and collaborative service delivery. The subscribers to this list
are a broad range of advocates who serve low-income clients including
lawyers, social workers, health professionals, and others who work in
variety of settings including legal aid programs, pro bono programs,
social service agencies, and community-based organizations. To subscribe,

- Humanizing Legal Education: This list provides
the opportunity for interchange concerning the ways we conduct legal
education, the impact those choices may have on the attitudes, values,
needs, health, and well-being of law students, and the possible
relationship between each of those matters and the reputed "crises" in the
profession -- including issues of dissatisfaction, depression, excessive
work, and substance abuse; broad concerns for eroding
civility/morality/"professionalism"; and the low opinion of the public for
lawyers. Depending on the interest of subscribers, the list will further
provide a forum for discussion of alternative teaching methods, and
current or proposed research for investigating these and related issues
involving law students, law teachers, lawyers, and judges. TO SUBSCRIBE:
send an empty email to:
legaled-subscribe@mail.law.fsu.edu. No subject
or text is required. The system will reply to your email with a welcome
