The 2011 MUNDHEIM SPEAKER SERIES
Students interested in law and business careers will learn from some of the country's leading business law experts in a spring lecture series sponsored by The Business Law Program (BLP) at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College Of Law.
Though guest lectures have been part of the Business Law Program for some time, this year will mark the first formal series named after Robert Mundheim, who has served as an Arizona Law Sabbatical Visitor since 2005. Professor Mundheim, the former Dean of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, is currently Of Counsel to Shearman & Sterling. Professor Mundheim also served as Senior Executive Vice-President and General Counsel of Salomon Smith Barney Holdings Inc, General Counsel to the U.S. Treasury Department, Co-Chairman of the New York law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. In addition to teaching a spring course in Corporate Governance, Professor Mundheim mentors students seeking careers in business law.
"Bob has offered all of us mentorship and inspiration. The speakers he brings to the College every spring semester bring extraordinary depth to cutting edge topics in business law," noted Professor Barak Orbach, who leads the College's Business Law Program. "It enriches our student experience so greatly, in both intellectual and practical terms."
The series is free and open to members of the University community. Members of the general public will be accommodated as space allows. Those wishing to attend should RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to determine whether seats are available for a specific lecture. No seats will be held by reservation or advance arrangement.
