The University of Arizona's 320-acre campus is located in the center of Tucson, with easy access to hotels, shopping, entertainment, and transportation. Tucson, nestled in the high Sonoran Desert valley, is framed by spectacular mountain peaks. The desert is alive with native desert-dwelling animals and plant life unique to the area. One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in North America, Tucson is home to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a living desert wildlife and plant sanctuary.
