Biographical Information

Robert Mundheim has been a leader across the worlds of law, business and politics. He served as a professor and Dean at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, as General Counsel at the U.S. Treasury Department, where he was instrumental in negotiating the release of the U.S. hostages in Iran, as Special Counsel to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Solomon Smith Barney. Professor Mundheim currently chairs the ABA's Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and is Of Counsel to the firm of Shearman and Sterling in New York.
