resourceful in researching this topic. I searched Netscape using various

particularly helpful in my search for Canadian law. A number of websites
deal specifically with Canadian law and provide access to statutes and

This is the single most comprehensive resource on aboriginal rights I have
found. It contains links to both Canadian and American aboriginal resources,
as well as international links. The individual Canadian and United States
databases contain information on the history of aboriginal rights in each
country, constitutional provisions, legislation, and current issues. In
addition, it provides links to periodicals, newspapers and other websites
relevant to aboriginal rights and Indian sovereignty. This is an excellent
source for all kinds of information.

This website is a great resource for general information on Indian affairs
in the United States. It provides background information on the Bureau
of Indian Affairs and its history and discusses current issues, Congressional
and legislative affairs, tribal services, and self-governance.
Assembly of First Nations

This is a good resource for historical information on the plight of Canadian
native peoples and the development of Canadian policy in Indian affairs.
It also discusses current issues affecting Canada’s native populations
and provides names of other helpful resources and links to other websites.

It provides links to other important resources and has information relating
to current issues and legislation proposals. This a great resource for
researching current issues and status of Indian Law.
