Guest Lecturer. Reema Hindawi Scaramella speaks on “Genealogies: From Violence to Reform Initiatives” today, Monday, November 18, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in Room 126. All are welcome.
Journal Raffle. On Monday and Tuesday during lunch, the AZ Journal will be selling raffle tickets for $2 each, or 6 tickets for $10. The first place prize is a pair of tickets to the UA vs. NAU basketball game. The second place winner will win four tickets to the AZ Sonoran Desert Museum. The winner will be notified via email next Tuesday afternoon. Come buy some tickets and support the Journal!!
Congratulations to Melissa Meister (3L), who received fourth place in the "Best Oralist" competition at the 2002 - 2003 Regional Moot Court Competition in Provo, Utah, November 8 - 9, 2002.
Interested in becoming a VLP Advocate? The Volunteer Lawyers Program of Pima County is looking for student volunteers to work with clients and assist attorneys in the areas of Domestic Relations, Child Support, and Bankruptcy next semester. Training will be provided. If you would like to get some great pro bono experience, please come to a meeting on Tuesday, November 19, at 12:15 p.m. in Rm. 122. All students are welcome. PAD Food and Clothing Drive. From November 18 - 22, PAD will be organizing a food and clothing drive. There will be a competition among the 1Ls for most food donated. The small section that donates the most food will receive a pizza party on Nov. 26th. The donations should be placed in the appropriate boxes by the mailboxes. Please go through your closets and cupboards and find a few items to donate. Every bit makes a big difference.
The deadline to pay for Spring 2003 tuition is Monday, December 9, 2002. A late payment charge of $50.00 will be assessed on Tuesday, December 10, 2002. NOTE: Students who have enough federal financial aid, and/or scholarships coming in to fully cover all tuition and fees, will be automatically “fee deferred” (they do not have to meet this payment deadline).
Information on the following is kept in the red scholarship book in Room 118; all University of Arizona and College of Law scholarships are posted on the Financial Aid bulletin board outside the Student Lounge:
