The Law and Society Association has posted a call for papers and presentations for its annual conference, scheduled in Pittsburgh on June 5 - 8, 2003.  The conference theme is "RIVERS OF LAW:  The Confluence of Life, Work, and Justice."  A number of students have expressed interest in putting together panels and presenting papers at the conference on issues ranging from gender in the law, empathy in the law school curriculum, international humanitarianism during wartime and the right to health under international law.  If you are interested in getting involved in existing student panels, creating a new panel, or just wish to get some more information about the conference please contact Marina Hadjioannou at  This is an excellent opportunity to experience public speaking, network with professionals in a multitude of disciplines and to collaborate with other students and professionals.

New Library Hours - Beginning Friday, December 6 the Law Library will make the following changes to its hours of operation:  Fridays, 6:00 p.m. closure (instead of 10:00 p.m.) and Sundays, 11:00 p.m. closure (instead of 8:00 p.m.).  This change will not affect the Intersession hours (12/20 through 1/12).

Information on the following is kept in the red scholarship book in Room 118; all University of Arizona and College of Law scholarships are posted on the Financial Aid bulletin board outside the Student Lounge:
