The 24th Annual Marks Lecture takes place this Thursday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ares Auditorium. Our speaker is Professor Jeffrey Rosen from George Washington University Law School. His topic will be "The Unwanted Gaze: The Destruction of Privacy in America." All are invited to attend.
Phi Delta Phi Charity Raffle. Bring in donations for a local women’s shelter and earn raffle tickets to win prizes from Park Place Mall, Santa Barbara, or 4th Avenue Hair. The more you donate, the more chances you have to win! Donate in the lobby March 1 - 12.
Andrew Silverman Community Service Awards. In an effort to recognize student community service, each year the Law School honors one student in each class, and one student organization, with the Andrew Silverman Community Service Awards. Nominate yourself or a friend who inspires you through his or her community service. Nomination forms will be sent to you by e-mail. Extra copies will be available downstairs in the Student Lounge. The UA Law School Mock Trial Team placed third at the Student Trial Advocacy Competition this weekend. The team won rounds against Arizona State University, Georgia State University, and the University of Idaho. They split ballots with the University of Washington and Cal Western. The UA Mock Trial team consists of:

Ms. Jacqueline K. Queener is the recipient of the 2003 Lenoir Tax Scholarship. This award was established by Mr. James E. Rogers in memory of Prof. James Lenoir who taught tax law here at the college for many years. Given on an annual basis, it recognizes a third-year law student who has demonstrated a high level of proficiency, dedication, and interest in tax law and practice through two or more tax courses taken during the second year.
