First-year Students: Are you wondering what “supra” means - or why its use is so common in older cases and not in recent ones? Do you find case citations confusing? Relief is on the way. In October, Professor Suzanne Rabe, the Director of Legal Writing, will be offering presentations to first-year students on understanding citations. These presentations will help you decipher the meaning and weight of the case, statute, and other citations you find in your readings for law school. Below is a schedule. If you cannot attend the presentation for your small section, please attend the make-up on October 21. Attendance at these presentations is highly recommended, but not mandatory. Class will be held in Room 104.
