The College of Law Bulletin is published at the beginning of each week of the semester. ANNOUNCEMENTS

ABA/AALS Site Visit at College of Law.  This week, the College hosts the ABA/AALS Site Inspection team who are conducting the College’s sabbatical accreditation review. Members of the Site Team will be visiting classes and meeting with faculty, administrators, and students. Interested students may attend an open meeting with members of the team on Wednesday, October 20, at 4:00 p.m. in Room 201. The Community Service Board and Pride Lawwould like to thank the law school community for its support of the law school AIDSWALK team. Thanks to your generosity we raised $882.00 to help support the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation. Thank you!!

Animal Law Presentation.  Don't miss today’s lunchtime animal law presentation:  “Caring for Livestock” by Chris Wencker at 12:15 p.m. in Room 106. (Also mark your calendars now for the final one in the series, November 15, topic TBA). Everyone is welcome to attend!

PILO Presents Lecture Series will take place on Tuesday, October 19, from 12:20 - 1:00 p.m. in Room 139. This lecture will feature Jennifer Nye, a lawyer at the Arizona Center for Disability Law, speaking about her career path and current position. Please join us to learn more about public interest careers. Pizza will be provided!

The Public Interest Law Organization will have a meeting on Wednesday, October 20, from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m., in Room 126. All law students are welcome to attend. A few of the items that will be discussed at the meeting include plans for the lecture series, the candy gram sale, and the Halloween carnival.

BLSA will be having a Soul Food Sale on Thursday, October 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will be serving delicious southern fried chicken, jerk chicken and Liberian jollof rice. Side items include macaroni and cheese, collard greens and cornbread. For dessert, we will be serving pecan and sweet potato pie. Come join us for lunch!

The deadline to apply for a Writing Fellow position is this coming Friday, October 22, at 1:00 p.m.  Interested second- and third-year students should submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to Professor Rabe either by email (rabe@law.arizona.edu) or in hard copy to her faculty mailbox. In your application, indicate your phone number, e-mail address, the name of your small-section professor, the name of your spring writing professor, and - if applicable - the name of your Persuasive Communication professor.
