8TH ANNUAL “SUPREME COURT HIGHLIGHTS” CLE - On Friday, September 29, from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m. in Room 146, faculty and distinguished jurists will discuss high profile antitrust, criminal, environmental civil procedure, and first amendment cases from the 2005 - 2006 term. AIDSWALK 2006. Students, faculty and staff are invited to join the College of Law Team in the 18th Annual AIDSWALK on Sunday, October 8, at 8:30 a.m. on the UA Main Mall. This 5K walk is Tucson’s largest AIDS-related fundraising event and will benefit AIDS prevention and care services for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation. We are also looking for people who would like to make donations for the Walk. PrideLaw and the Community Service Board will have an AIDSWALK fundraising table in the lobby the week of October 2 - 6. Help us beat our donation total of $851.00 last year! If you would like to participate, please sign up on the sheet posted in the lobby or at the fundraising table the week of October 2 - 6. EVERYONE is invited to walk. Please feel free to invite family and friends, too. Dogs on leashes are always welcome as well!

LWA Meeting. Please join us for the next Law Women’s Association meeting on Tuesday, September 26 in Room 138 at 12:15 p.m. We will be planning numerous upcoming events, discussing t-shirt designs, and collecting dues from new members. See you then!

BLSA will have a meeting on Wednesday September 27, 12:15 - 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and participate. Location: Room 122.

The Federalist Society presents Professor Ralph Rossum, Wednesday, September 27, 12:15 p.m. in Room 138. Professor Rossum will speak about his recently published book, Antonin Scalia’s Jurisprudence:  Text and Tradition. Refreshments will be served.

All law students, faculty, and staff are invited to take part in the upcoming meetings for the NLG and the Anti-Racism Focus Group of the NLG. The next general meeting for the NLG is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26 at 12:20 p.m. in Room 139. The next meeting for the Anti-Racism Focus Group of the NLG is scheduled for Thursday, September 28 at 12:20 p.m. in Room 139. Feel free to bring your lunch . . . we hope to see you there!!!
