Immigration Reform Symposium. We are delighted to invite you to participate in our symposium ‘Reforming U.S. Immigration Policy in the Post 9-11 World’ sponsored by student chapters of the American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society. Rogers College of Law will convene at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007. Breakfast and lunch will be included for those who RSVP by February 15 (send email to jonelle.vold@law.arizona.edu with “Symposium RSVP” in the subject line). Southwest Indian Art Fair at the Arizona State Museum. All are invited to volunteer for a COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD project on Sunday, February 25. The Annual Southwest Indian Art Fair raises money for the Arizona State Museum and will feature performances and over 200 artists. Law school volunteers will work the “clean-up” shift, from 3:30 - 6:00, helping to take down tents and carrying art work to the artists’ cars. Volunteers get free admission to the fair for the entire weekend! If you would like to join us, please e-mail Martha Fenn at fenn@law.arizona.edu.

SAVE THE DATE! - April 13, 2007 - Arizona Women Lawyers Association Annual Wine & Cheese Party. On April 13, 2007, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., AWLA’s annual Wine and Cheese Party will be held at the Women’s Plaza of Honor at the University of Arizona. This year, AWLA takes great pleasure in commemorating the appointment of the Honorable Jan E. Kearney as Presiding Judge of the Pima County Superior Court, and the event will be held in her honor. Mark your calendars now so you do not miss this event. More information will be forthcoming.

Please check the Lost & Found at the Reserve Desk in the Library. We have an abundance of textbooks, flash drives, sunglasses, etc. Some from the beginning of the semester!

2007 - 2008 FAFSA Application Deadline:  To be considered for financial aid for 2007 - 2008, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be filed and processed by March 1, 2007, the deadline required by the University of Arizona and Rogers College of Law. If you have not yet filed your taxes for 2006, complete the FAFSA using estimated figures. When you have filed your income taxes, file a correction to the FAFSA updating the information - the update will not change your original application date. If you filed a FAFSA for the academic year 2006 - 2007, you may file for 2007 - 2008 using the Renewal FAFSA, on which you can update last year’s information (figures and addresses). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kim Marlow (626-8101; marlow@law.arizona.edu; Room 118C).
