New programs and services will soon be available for alumni up to five years out of law school, thanks to the efforts of a newly formed Recent Graduate Professional Development Subcommittee of the Law College Association. Mary Birmingham and Paula Nailon from the Career & Professional Development Office are working with the group’s members in Phoenix and Tucson, and will soon announce a schedule of upcoming activities for fall and spring.
Programs relating to your professional development will be offered on topics including:
• Law Firm Economics 101
• Surviving the Evaluation Process
• Private Practice to Government, or Vice Versa – Making the Switch
• What Do Alternative Employers Look for in a Candidate with a JD?
• Re-Evaluating Your Job – Do You Need a Change, or Do You Need to Change?
A new website design with enhanced resources for alumni will also be unveiled later in the fall, including information about how to make lateral job changes, how to establish a nontraditional career, etc.
Information will be emailed to you about program offerings. If you are not certain you are on the email invitation list, please let the Development Office know (erin.olson@law.arizona.edu), or contact Mary or Paula at 520-621-7668!
