The Water Sustainability Program at the University of Arizona has announced the first two speakers for the Water Sustainability 2013 Distinguished Speaker Series. This series, held in collaboration with Arizona Law and the Water Resources Research Center, will be a platform for discussions on critical water management issues in the West. Of interest to students and faculty across disciplines and the local community, notable speakers will give thought provoking talks on a variety of topics through the Spring. The first two presentations are:

• Justice Gregory J. Hobbs, Jr., Colorado Supreme Court, “Living the Four Corners:  Honoring Our Water Short Character - Preserve, Conserver, Sustain and Inspire,” Tuesday, February 5, 2013, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., Ares Auditorium (Room 164), College of Law.
• Patricia Mulroy, General Manager, Southern Nevada Water Authority, “Las Vegas - Navigating the Perfect Water Resources Storm,” Thursday, February 28, 2013, Location TBA.
