Nobel Peace Prize Winner Addresses 600-person Crowd at the University of Arizona

Ms. Shirin Ebadi, winner of the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize, addressed a 600-person crowd at the University of Arizona Student Union. Her free public lecture sponsored by the James E. Rogers College of Law, in association with the Dept of Near Eastern Studies, gave attendees a good understanding of current issues at the intersection of religion and governance in the Middle East and throughout the world. After a fifty minute lecture delivered through a Persian translator, Ms. Ebadi answered questions from the audience. The College of Law would like to thank the UA Iranian-American Students Association for their work in organizing the lecture.
