When someone says "Miller," what's the next word that comes to mind? What about when someone says "Tort?" Ask these questions to a nonlawyer, and she will likely respond with "Lite" and "Reform."
Though it didn't play a big role in the presidential election, tort reform has been influential and very controversial. Come watch a screening of the documentary Hot Coffee (about the famous McDonalds case and the politics of tort reform), then stay for a discussion with former Chief Justice of the AZ Supreme Court (and one of Arizona's brightest legal minds) Stanley Feldman.
Popcorn and, of course, hot coffee will be served.
