On Wednesday, November 7th, the Program in Criminal Law & Policy is pleased to welcome John J. Toma, Ph.D., a licensed forensic psychologist. He will be here as part of the Wednesday Speaker Series on Justice Organizations and Professional Development. Dr. Toma is a licensed psychologist (since 1996) in the State of Arizona who currently works in private practice; primarily forensic services. He provides expert mental health and neuropsychological evaluations which assist the Courts in several criminal matters including competency, sanity, mitigation, post-conviction relief, asylum, and child abuse. He has completed several evaluations concerning torture, competency, domestic violence and mental illness for both HealthRight and the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Project who use these evaluations in the Supreme Court.
