This seminar will include an introduction to the history and purpose of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the law that established U.S. environmental policies and requires federal agencies to assess the environmental impacts of their proposed actions and reasonable alternatives to accomplishing the agency’s goal.
Topics will include
• Nuts and bolts of NEPA’s procedural requirements
• NEPA litigation
• Discussion of current issues in NEPA, including climate change issues, health impact assessment & more
