On January 30 at 12:15 PM in room 160, Patrick Garry, a professor of law from the University of South Dakota, will come speak about the Establishment Clause.

Professor Garry is the author of Wrestling With God: The Court's Tortuous Treatment of Religion, in which he criticizes the Court's confusing and contradictory establishment clause jurisprudence and offers a new constitutional model that better reflects the intent of the framers and reconciles the establishment clause with the free exercise clause. He was also recently asked to write a chapter for The Supreme Court Review on the Court’s free speech and establishment clause jurisprudence.
