Do outmatched students disengage from the learning process? Does the law school atmosphere create substantial barriers to high achievement for black students? Are worse outcomes, for black students, the product of cultural differences across schools? Professor Katherine Barnes is a leader in the national debate over the effects of affirmative action on law student outcomes, and will share her research with UA Law.
