Wednesday, March 6, the Program in Criminal Law & Policy Speaker Series is pleased to welcome Sheronda Jordan, Forensic Examiner Manager at the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA). She will be here to discuss Medical-Forensic Examinations and other SACASA Services.
Medical-Forensic nurses collect important evidence in sexual assault cases in a way that attempts not to re-traumatize the victim. Under the Violence Against Women Act, victims of sexual assault have the right to request a medical-forensic examination without any conditions.
This event is open to everyone, and CLE credit will be available to Arizona attorneys.
We will meet in Room 118. Pizza will be served at 12:05pm, with the discussion beginning at 12:15pm and ending by 1:20pm. |
