LEGAL RESEARCH BOOT CAMP 2013 (Free Legal Research Course Offered Immediately Following Spring Semes

The librarians and library fellows from the Law Library will be teaming up to teach an intensive legal research course (LEGAL RESEARCH BOOT CAMP) once again the week following the conclusion of the spring semester.

Boot Camp is open to all Arizona Law students. No academic credit will be awarded for this course; however, no tuition or other fees will be charged. Participants who attend a required number of sessions will receive a certificate.

The course will provide “refresher” training in using primary and secondary legal materials and offer more detailed training in administrative law and legislative history research. The course will provide Westlaw Next, Lexis Advance, Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg BNA and internet legal research training. A more detailed schedule will be available later.

Students should expect to be in class, learning and completing exercises each day from about 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (with appropriate breaks and time for lunch). Coffee, tea, light snacks, as well as lunch provided.

This year, Boot Camp will be completed in just THREE days. However, to accommodate the schedules of students participating in the Write-On Competition (May 11 - May 14) as well as student travels, there are two options offered:

* START DATE: Tuesday, May 14

* END DATE: Thursday, May 16

* START DATE: Wednesday, May 15

* END DATE: Friday, May 17

In order to provide guided hands-on training, we need to have some idea of how many students will attend. Please send an email to Alexandra Lee Delgado ( if you wish to attend Boot Camp 2013.

If a greater number of students sign up for this class than can be accommodated, spaces will be allotted on a first-emailed, first-served basis. In your email please indicate if you:

 1.  _____Expect to participate in Write-On (yes, no, or unsure)

 2. _____ Definitely plan to attend Boot Camp (OPTION ONE or OPTION TWO)

 3. _____ Would like to attend, but are unsure of your schedule for that week
