Disabilities: An Interprofessional Exercise

Location: University of Arizona Health Sciences Center

Between 15-20% (41-51 million) individuals in the U.S. have a disability.  They experience more health disparities.  Key issues in supporting persons with disabilities are:  access to health care, self advocacy and person-centered care.  Working interprofessionally ensures optimal care and healthier lives for people with disabilities.

This exercise is for students in Health Sciences, Social Work and Law.  Explore the value of a team in problem solving!  Join other disciplines to solve patient-based problems!  Appreciation for other disciplines.  Respect for other professionals.

REGISTRATION:  Monday, February 24 - Friday, March 21 at 5:00 p.m.
(students in Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy are pre-registered)
