Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor is Distinguished Jurist in Residence

Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor joined the College of Law on Thursday, February 2 as the 2006 Distinguished Jurist in Residence. The Justice will teach a course entitled "The Supreme Court" with former clerk and Distinguished Visiting Faculty Fellow RonNell Andersen Jones. During the ten-day course, law students will learn about aspects of Court procedures and operations from an insider’s point of view. The course is enrolled to capacity, with 178 second and third year law students (more than a third of the student body) taking the class. "This is as good as it gets for a law student," said Dean Toni M. Massaro, "and we are very thankful for Justice O’Connor’s presence and work here."
