First-Year Student Awarded a Governor’s Volunteer Service Award

First year law student Rodney Glassman recently received one of the 2005 Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards. The awards, considered the highest volunteer awards in Arizona, were established to recognize those that have lent their talents and services to improving Arizona communities. The recipients are selected on the basis of need, action, innovation and impact by a panel of statewide judges, representing the Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism.  Two awards are given each year in 8 categories. Mr Glassman established the Glassman Foundation in 2002 in order to raise funds for southern Arizona non-profit organizations that provide youth services.
