Dean Massaro Given Highest Faculty Honor

The Arizona Board of Regents has named Toni Massaro, Dean of the James E. Rogers College of Law, a Regents’ Professor.  The designation of Regents' Professor is reserved for faculty members at Arizona's public universities who have demonstrated exceptional scholarship and outstanding achievements and serves as recognition of the highest academic merit. Candidates face a rigorous nomination procedure.  Nominees must be nationally and internationally recognized scholars with exceptional teaching abilities who also reach outside of their partiuclar discipline. The title of Regents’ Professor is awarded to only three percent of tenured faculty on campus. This title serves as a recognition of Dean Massaro’s extraordinary achievements as a scholar, teacher, and academic leader. The College of Law faculty claims only one other Regents’ Professor, Dan Dobbs.
