Justices Ginsburg and O'Connor to Visit College of Law

Two living legends in American law, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sandra Day O’Connor, will visit The University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law in the 2006 - 2007 academic year. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg will deliver the 27th Annual Isaac Marks Memorial Lecture at the UA James E. Rogers College of Law on Wednesday, September 13 at 10 a.m. Her address, “Reflections on Arizona’s Pace-Setting Justices: William H. Rehnquist and Sandra Day O’Connor,” is open to the public, although seats are limited. The lecture is made possible through donations from Selma Paul Marks, a graduate of the Rogers College of Law. Retired Justice O’Connor will return for her second academic visit in February 2007, when she is again scheduled to co-teach a course on the innerworkings of the Supreme Court with former clerk RonNell Andersen Jones, a faculty fellow at the College of Law. Registration for the class is limited to law students.
