Dr Burton to Speak as Part of Fall 2009 IPLP Colloquium Series

The theme of the Fall 2009 IPLP Colloquium series is “Connecting with Culture.” The next speaker in the series will be Dr. Lloyd Burton, Program Director of the Environmental Policy, Management, and Law Concentration at the School of Public Affairs, University of Colorado, Denver, who will give a presentation at noon on Friday, October 30, 2009.  Dr. Burton will speak about issues related to American Indians and federal public lands, focusing in particular on the Place and Native Voice Project, which trains American Indian students to work as cultural interpreters at National Parks.  The talk is free and open to the public, and will be held in room 118 of the James E.
