Rogers College of Law Welcomes Class of 2014

The James E. Rogers College of Law formally welcomed its Class of 2014 on August 22, 2011, when classes begin for the 144 new J.D. candidates. Members of the class, represent 3 countries, 20 states, and 56 undergraduate institutions.  Eleven percent are thirty years of age or older, and 38% are women. Ten percent hold advanced degrees. All branches of the armed forces are represented, including a number of Iraqi and Afghanistan war veterans, and there are several Peace Corps and Teach for America alumni in the class. Collectively, they speak 23 languages and have lived abroad for significant periods of time in 32 countries. Among them are a professional football player, a professional basketball player, a professional cellist, a furniture designer, a bailiff, and a firefighter. Their academic credentials place them in the top 15% of the national applicant pool.
