Alternative Dispute Resolution

The goal of this course is to engage students in the theory and practice of the variety of processes available to lawyers to solve disputes.  These processes include several “traditional” methods - adjudication, arbitration, negotiation or mediation - and those which are “hybrid” such as the mini-trial, summary jury trial, and neutral experts.  Another goal is to help students expand their conceptual framework for solving problems.
