Federal Criminal Law and Procedure
This course addresses both the Federal Criminal Rules of Procedure as well as substantive Federal Criminal Law. The course follows a criminal case from both prosecutor’s and defense counsel’s perspectives form investigation to grand jury proceedings and indictment, pre-trial motions and hearings, trial, sentencing, and appeal. The course also addresses search warrants, including trap and trace, wiretap, and penregister. The course includes an introduction to the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
